Tatiana Perrino, Psy.D. is Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She is a clinical psychologist who has dedicated her career to the promotion of health in minority and socio-economically disadvantaged communities. Dr. Perrino’s research and community work focus on the prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral problems among youth, especially depression, as well as the critical role that families can play in health promotion. She has worked in several health research areas, including drug abuse, HIV, obesity, and depression, and is a long-time member of the Society for Prevention Research, the American Psychological Association, and the American Public Health Association. Dr. Perrino is instructor and advisor to students in the Master of Public Health program and the PhD in Prevention Science and Epidemiology programs. She teaches two courses at the Department of Public Health Sciences: Health Education & Behavior and Determinants of Health and Health Disparities across the Life Course.
